7 things we need changing in the next Fortnite update

The v25.20 Fortnite update is just around the corner. The update was originally supposed to be released on Tuesday, July 25, but it was postponed. Fortunately, it will be released soon, bringing a lot of new content to the video game.

In this article, we will list 7 things we need to change in the upcoming Fortnite update. The list includes many things, from bug fixes to new features.

Next Fortnite update should bring these things

1) Kinetic Boomerang

Kinetic Boomerang was added with Chapter 4 – Season 3 but was vaulted shortly after. The boomerang is a fun weapon that can deal damage to multiple targets. Additionally, players can trigger an explosion with it.

The Kinetic item was vaulted due to a bug, but we’re hoping that Epic Games fixes it and unvaults it with the v25.20 Fortnite update.

2) Better Discover tab

Creative 2.0 is a huge part of Fortnite. Thousands of players have created fantastic maps, but these maps have yet to see the light of day. The Discovery tab has a lot of junk and looks like a clickbait YouTube channel, which is why many players are hoping that Epic changes it.

While it’s true that the tab has been improved over the past few weeks, it’s still nowhere near as good as it should be.

3) Fair matchmaking

Epic Games released skill-based matchmaking with Chapter 2. Ever since then, players have complained about it. Unfortunately, the matchmaking system can be easily tricked, and Epic Games should do something about it.

The next Fortnite update likely won’t bring any major changes to the system. However, it should bring something to discourage players from cheating the system, either brief bans or penalties.

4) More mobility

Epic Games recently added Shockwave Grenades to Fortnite’s Zero Build playlists. However, this hasn’t completely solved the problem of the lack of mobility. While the current season does have some mobility features, we’d like to see more of them.

After Shockwave Hammer and Kinetic Blade in the two previous seasons, not having an incredible mobility item is somewhat unusual.

5) Hurdling

Epic Games added hurdling as a new mobility feature at the start of Chapter 4. Unfortunately, the feature was available for only a few days before the video game developer removed it. Hurdling hasn’t been in the game for more than half a year, and many players have lost hope that it’ll ever return.

Will the upcoming Fortnite update bring the feature back? We’re hoping so, but it’s very unlikely.

6) Drum Shotgun nerf

Many Fortnite players have complained about the balance in Chapter 4 – Season 3. Due to this, Epic Games has nerfed or removed certain weapons, but that may not be enough. The Drum Shotgun is still incredible, which is why it should receive a nerf.

The shotgun fires quick shots and deals massive damage. It’s arguably the best weapon in the current season, so we can expect Epic to release some changes for it.

7) Burn Bright emote fix

Burn Bright is an emote exclusive to Fortnite’s ranked mode. It can be obtained by completing special in-game tasks, but unfortunately, it’s not working properly. The emote is supposed to show off the proper rank color, which is currently not the case.

The first season of ranked play ends in late August, and players are hoping that the bug will be fixed by then.
