EA Sports FC 24 is the latest in Electronic Arts’ international football simulator franchise. It is slated to hit shelves in September and fans are anxiously awaiting the official release date. When that arrives, will it be on as many consoles as it typically is?
Next-gen consoles are slowly pushing older ones out of the limelight. Some game developers have already moved on from them and are making games exclusively for next-gen. Is EA Sports FC 24 one? And even if it isn’t, will the game hit the classic Nintendo gaming platform?

Will EA Sports FC 24 be on Nintendo Switch?
Yes, EA Sports FC 24 will be on Nintendo Switch. Several recent FIFA titles were on the gaming platform and the next one will be no different. Despite the glaring lack of Madden on Switch, EA has a friendly relationship with Nintendo. Lots of EA titles, Apex Legends, Portal, and others, are available on the hybrid gaming platform.
It is technically a last-gen version of the game, though. While there is currently no superior Nintendo console, it’s still not even as powerful as the Xbox One or PlayStation 4, so the next-gen capabilities, such as HyperMotion, FieldSENSE, improved gameplay, and more, are not available.
EA FC on Switch will also not have cross-play. That feature is reserved for PlayStation 5, PC, and Xbox Series X|S. As of now, the Nintendo Switch does not appear to have a pre-order for the Ultimate Edition.
Given that it has a lot of bonuses, it might be too big for the Switch to handle. That eliminates Early Access, too. It is available to pre-order for $59.99 right now on the Nintendo eShop. All game modes, including Ultimate Team and Career Mode, will be present, however.
